WORK WITH ME

This isn’t a “rates and services” page.

This is a signal.

For artists who feel something they can’t quite explain.

For songs that haunt you until they’re finished.

For the moments that stop you cold.

If your music means something to you—

I’m here to help shape it, elevate it, and make sure the emotion hits.

No templates. No formulas. No dogma.

Just work that matters—with artists who care as much as I do.

PRODUCTION

I’m not here to overcook your sound.

And I’m not here to bulldoze your vision.

I’m here to help you pull out what’s already inside—and push it until it’s undeniable.

Sometimes that means stripping things down.

Sometimes it means adding pressure.

Sometimes it just means reminding you that you’ve already got it.

Bass was my first love—the foundation that taught me how to feel music.

Now I write and arrange by instinct, building from that same place.

If needed, I’ll track instrumental parts where it makes sense, but I’m not a Berklee producer bro.

If the song needs players who serve it better, I’ll help us find the right people—and pull the right performances.

It’s about serving the song.

This isn’t paint-by-numbers production.

This is collaboration. Excavation.

Here’s what it actually looks like to make a record together:

  • Creative direction from sketch to final mix

  • Arrangement and structure coaching

  • Co-writing support when the chords or words won’t come

  • Bass tracking and light instrumentation—only when it serves the song

  • Bringing in the right players and engineers when the song calls for it

  • Remote production or full in-person tracking—with you or your band

  • Studio sessions, Airbnb setups, or tracking at your place—whatever makes the record better

  • Killer mobile rig ready for anything—from solo artists to full bands

MIXING

Hybrid analog setup. Detail-obsessed. Emotion-forward.

I’m not here to clean you up without listening.

I’m here to amplify what’s already there.

Loud when it needs to be. Quiet when it matters.

Raw where it counts.

Goosebumps. Every time.

Because mixing isn’t just about sound—

it’s about listening, feeling, and knowing when to get the hell out of the way.

Mixing includes:

  • Remote or in-person sessions (location dependent)

  • Hybrid analog/digital chain

  • Mix from raw multitracks or your DAW session

  • Unlimited revisions—until it feels right

CREATIVE MENTORSHIP - Signal Recovery

This isn’t therapy, and I’m not a life coach.

This is a safe space to be messy, honest, and unfinished.

If you’re lost in the middle of your own record—

just getting started, or nearly at the end—

I’ll sit in that mess with you until the path clears.

That’s what collaboration really is.

It’s a place to hold the line when the vision gets fuzzy—

from rough demo to final master, pre-pro to playback.

I’ve lived through everything this industry can throw at you… x10.

I know what it’s like to lose the thread—

to smash your head against the wall, just trying to find the will to make it to the finish line.

This is how we make our way back to the signal—one messy step at a time.

It doesn’t get easier—but it does get clearer.

That’s how we fight our way forward. That’s how we find our way out.

What it looks like:

  • Online pre-production support for bands recording themselves

  • Song feedback, arrangement gut checks

  • A call when you’re stuck

  • Someone in the room—in person or virtual

  • A second set of ears when you’re too close

  • The truth you didn’t want, but needed

  • Showing up again and again—until the thing is done

No ego. No clock-watching.

Just someone who’s been through the fire—and is staying in it with you.

Mixes consistently come back sounding incredible, always perfectly tailored to the specific needs of the song, artist, and production.
— Gethin Pearson – Producer · Crystal Fighters, Orla Gartland, Charli XCX
It’s rare to find someone who understands all aspects of making a record the way he does. Stu is a gem.
— Norman Brannon – Texas Is The Reason, Thursday, Anti-Matter
I’ve played him song ideas I was ready to throw away—and he’s completely saved them and brought them to life.
— Jennifer Goodridge – Beyond Ideas, Director, Artist
Stu pushes boundaries and goes where others wouldn’t dare. He gets amazing-sounding tracks as a result.
